Check my answers? @e.mccormick

OpenStudy (nottim):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer is up there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

has all right angles and has all sides congruent.

OpenStudy (nottim):

Sorry Vic, it doesn't link exactly to your question/answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer I chose has a *** in front of it

OpenStudy (nottim):

Maybe this will clear my the confusion. Here's where the link leads to: http://openstudy.com/users/e.mccormick

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The link wasnt for anyone but that person to check my answers.......

OpenStudy (nottim):

lerlz.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Sorry for the interruption then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@e.mccormick

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Sorry bout that, I was looking at something for a minute.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No worries

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, ***is a parallelogram with perpendicular diaganols is correct. A rhombus also satisfies that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, having technical difficulties...keep crashing after posting something

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Eww.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, it says all four sides are equal. It also says two of them are parallel. Hmmm... if the other sides are the same length, then they would also have to be parallel. But it says nothing about the angles.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

If it says nothing about the angles, can it really be a rectangle or square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wouldnt know what it would be then

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, think about this. A square and a Rectangle MUST have perpendicualar or 90 degree angles. There is nothing about that in the graphic. So start by eliminating any answers that do have either a square or a rectangle.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yap. That is the key here. Kill off all the things with specific angle requirments in degrees and you only had one left.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

hmm... Let me think....

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

OK... so subset. I had to look up what it was when the whole thing is in there. So. Are all... Squares a Subset of Rhombi Rectangles a Subset of Squares Kites a Subset of Quadrilaterals Rhombi a Subset of Pallelograms If I write it that way....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No idea...

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Wehrn it comes to a subset, it means which are there more of. The looser the rules, the more of something there are. For example, A rhombus is always a parallelogram, but it has the same length sides, so only certain parallelograms are rhombussssses... sss.. s. So there are more paralleograms than rhombi and that makes the rhombi a subset of parallelograms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh lol

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

So lets look at these others. Are there more Rhombi than Squares or more squares than rhombi? Which has more rules, which has less?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, I think you are thinking in the right direction, but can you tell me why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just guessing

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Think about this. What is different between a square and a rectangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Squares have equal sides

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, squares ALWAYS have equal sides. So, what if a rectangle jsut happened to have equal sides. it would still be a rectangle. It would also happen to be a square. So some rectangles are squares, but some rectangles are not squares. So there are more squares than rectangles.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

oops! More Rectangles than Squares. LOL.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

B is right, because in real life the Rectangles is the larger circle with squares inside it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LAWD. i hate math. I only know like middle schooler , elementary things u.u sadddd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same >.<

OpenStudy (nottim):

i dont remember anything from high school....

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, ***m<2 = 106; m<3 = 37 is it!

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

/cheer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much! Are you free to help with more?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

For a while. I'll need to sleep at some point. Hehe.
