OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have the equation, I"d be glad to help.

sam (.sam.):

Slope Take the coordinates \((x_1,y_1)\) and \((x_2,y_2)\) Slope formula is \[Slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\] Substitute and find slope

i know what the formual is i just dont know how to do it and (8,1) , (-1,9) thats all it says and i dont understand ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, slope is the difference in y values divided by the difference in x values.

sam (.sam.):

Just substitute, \[Slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\] \[Slope=\frac{9-1}{-1-8}\]
