p=1.2W/H^2 solve for H??? ^= exponent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No one gets it :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you're solving for H, you want H to be by itself on one side and not as a denominator what you can do is move the H^2 to the left sides, this can be accomplished by multiplying H^2 to BOTH sides because H^2 /H^2 on the right will become 1 now you want to isolate H, so you need to move p to the other side, this can be done by dividing p to BOTHsides what happens is that p/p on the left side will cancel out and become 1 however, we're still not done, what you will have on the left side is H^2, and what you want is H any ideas what you would do?

this problem is mentally killing me to be honest

which is why you write it down on a piece of paper rather than trying to do it in your head
