How do I find the amplitude of a spring using a graph? (pic attached)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can see in the graph that the spring starts from max amplitue = 0.20 m then goes to min amplitude = -0.20 m, hence the amplitude of the spring is 0.20 m

So you measure from crest/trough to middle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you measure from max to min and divide by 2 i.e. (0.20 - ( -0.20)) / 2 = 0.20

@zaphodplaysitsafe could you tell me how to find the frequency of the graphs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from one peak to another peak you can measure the time = 4 sec. This is the time period as its the time between 2 consecutive peaks. frequency = 1/Time period = 1/4
