i dont get when is say "radius equal to that of the cone" ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's mean ,you will need to find the radius of the cone in order to get the volume of the sphere (since they both have the same radius ) . Got it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you find the radius ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First of all you should know the following : ======================== --- >Lateral area of the cone = \[\Large \color{Red}{\pi*r*L}=60\pi\] And you are given the slant height [L] =(10 cm ) . thus ; \[\Large 60\pi=\pi*r*10\] ===> solve for r , \[\Huge r=6 \] --- > Volume of sphere = \[\Large \frac{4}{3}*\pi*r^3\] = \[\Large \frac{4}{3}*\pi*(6^3)\] = \[\Huge \color{Red}{288\pi}\]

You got it ?
