I'll give you some help on the semicolon! To use a semicolon, you have to have two independent clauses (which basically means a sentence that can stand by itself, and sentences that can stand by themselves have a subject and a predicate(a predicate is a the part of the sentence that contains the verb and other parts that modify the subject)). Also, the independent clauses HAVE to be similar in nature; the sentences cannot be random. Here is an example of using a semicolon wrong, "Look at the fridge; an un-eaten toaster strudel" ("an un-eaten toaster strudel" is a fragment). Here is an example of doin' it right, "I like to throw CD's like frisbees; my favorite genre of music to throw is rock music."
