"http://" and "ftp://" are examples of which of the following A. Interface B. Protocol C. TLD D. URL
B
They are the protocol part of a URL.
To help clarify what hexadecimalmonkey and rsmith6559 are pointing out: It is true that the Hyper Text Transport Protocol and File Transport Protocol are protocols, as the names HTTP and FTP state. However, this question does not ask about HTTP and FTP. It asks about "http://" and "ftp://". The colon slash slash may be critical! A Universal Resource Locator, URL, starts by naming the protocol then has a :// before defining what is submitted as a command. The :// takes it out of just talking about the protocol and moves it into being part of a URL. However, "are examples of which of the following" changes the whole thing. It makes it end up relying on the context of the class this is a question in. See, "http://" and "ftp://" are NOT URLs! They are the start of a URL. Specifically, they are the protocol part of a URL. That means it really depends on your class and what you have been doing. It might be D, but it could very easily be B.
