the basic eqiation is x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1 where x axis is the masjor axis if a>b and y is the masjor axis is a<b.. yeah?

nope. its not D. you're not shifting the origin in the right way.. to shift -1,0 to 0,0.. we have to do x+1.. so it should be B
