The difference between a topic and a theme is that a theme can usually be expressed in a complete sentence. If you can explain it i'm a little confused with this one. A. True B. False

I believe it is false.

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

i would say true. a topic is pretty general. for example, the topic could be jealousy. but a theme could be expressed as something like: "One of the recurring themes in the book is Jeffery's attempt to live a life he cannot lead due to his desire to be more like Frank" a theme basically is just a little more specific.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree with @blurbendy, It is true!

Themes can be described as the various messages that are conveyed in the story. A topic is a general overview of the story itself. And while a story usually has only one topic, it is rather common for it to have many themes.
