1. What is the image of point P(2, 3, 5) after a reflection about the xy-plane? (Points : 1) P´(2, 3, 5) P´(2, 3, 5) P´(2, 3, 5) P´(2, 3, 5)

i dont know whether this will help but when u reflect along the x/y plane you interchange x and y to get your point eg. (x;y)--->>(y;x)

The answers are all the same?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

reflection along a certain plane will keep those coordinates same and the invert the rest. Just like in 2D if you reflect along Y -axis your (x,y) will be (-x,y) Similarly if you reflect along x- axis (x,y) will be (x, -y) So in 3D if you reflect along XY plane, your x and y coordinates remain the zame and your Z will get negated. (x,y,z) reflected along xy plane will be (x,y,-z)
