you should put in + signs between the terms in the middle term, where did y^3 come from? the original has 6xy
the next step is not too hard: for the numbers 21/3 in the first fraction, replace with 7/1 or just 7 in the top
the 6/3 in the 2nd fraction is replace with ?
hopefully you know 6/3 is 2 (or 2/1 to remind yourself, the 2 is in the top)

How would I do x^2 /x
for the letters, remember this rule: x/x = 1 for example, if you have \[ \frac{x \cdot y \cdot z}{ a \cdot b \cdot x} \] notice there is an x in the top and bottom. they "cancel" (make 1) so you can drop them
the other thing to remember is x^3 means x*x*x (it is a short hand because people did not want to write out x^10 = x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x) so you can write out x^2/x as x*x/x and cancel one set of x. you get x/1 or just x in the top

There is really just one rule to remember: if you have the same letter in the top and bottom, you can drop both of them. They "cancel each other out" can you try again?
