It would be the 1st one because evolution is about species and orgasms. Also Evolution by natural selection is a process that is inferred from three facts about populations: 1) more offspring are produced than can possibly survive, 2) traits vary among individuals, leading to different rates of survival and reproduction, and 3) trait differences are heritable.[4] Thus, when members of a population die they are replaced by the progeny of parents that were better adapted to survive and reproduce in the environment in which natural selection took place.

It actually does explain poplulation change. It DOES support natural selection as this is one of darwin's main ideas. And it does support adaptation. It talks about birth and reproduction with each offspring adapting. It does NOT talk about adulthood

An example of population change in evolution is the gene flow. It is when like species come into the ecosystem and breed with the other like species making a new breed of the same species.
