c(a+b)-d=f solve for b then solve for d

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

First solve the parenthesis then you have ca +cb-d=f then you want to isolate b, move what does no contain b to the right as follows: cb = f - ca + d (change the signs when you move it)

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

Then to isolate the b you devide by c, you have b= f - ca + d --------- c

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

Therefore you have b = f/c -a +d/c

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

To solve for d is much easier, since the d is by itself

very helpful both strategies thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is d=c(a+b)-f
