one way is to draw this on a coordinate plane. have you tried that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yes I have but I don't know how to put it in a rectangular form ):
hartnn (hartnn):
or simply you can use the formulas,
(4, 90) ---> (r, theta)
r=4
theta = 90
x= r cos theta = 4 cos 90 =....?
y= r sin theta = 4 sin 90 =... ?

rectangular form is another way of representing the same number using i or j in some applications
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x=0 y=4, 0+4i?

yes!
j4 or i4, whatever u call...

by drawing stuff you see the angle it makes with the x and y axis, then you can move to formulas, but for things that have 90 degree and multiples of it is easier to visualize if you draw it.

Rectangular form is an (x, y) pair.

YESSS! <3 Thank you very much (:
hartnn (hartnn):
(x,y) = (0,4)
