well, you have there, 2 trapezoids, so http://www.cs.grinnell.edu/~walker/courses/161.fa12/data-representation/area3.gif get the area of each, and add them up :)

b1 and b2 there, refers to the PARALLEL SIDES of the trapezoid sometimes they maybe the one above or the one below, this time is the one on the left and the one on the right
