A little English help? 2. In the selection from Margaret Atwood’s The Penelopiad, how is Odysseus transformed from an epic hero into a common man? (1 point) He has become tired of adventure. He has become fearful and cowardly. He has become selfish and unreliable. He has become a low-ranking official.
5. In Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado,” the literary device of foreshadowing is used when Montresor tells Fortunato (1 point) “You are a man to be missed.” “A draught of this Medoc will defend us from the damps.” “You were not to be found, and I was fearful of losing a bargain.” “You are rich, respected, admired, beloved; you are happy as once I was.”
38. Choose the topic that best limits the broad subject, architecture. (1 point) famous architects historic building in Europe modern architectural marvels the design of the White House
@SharpEdge I reread the Penelopiad multiple times, but I'm still not sure. I know he leaves again at the end because he craves more adventure.. Which do you think makes more sense?
@amistre64 giving answers :)
@nincompoop I'm clearly not asking for answers. I'm asking for an explanation and help to make an educated choice.
For number 5 I am leaning towards the first one, and number 38 the white house. But I feel like the white house might be too specific and has nothing to do with architecture.
For #5 i believe it's the first choice.
So is tired of adventure a better choice?
It sounds better because he didn't act fearful, and didn't seem too unreliable or low-ranking.
The cask of Amontillado was a poem full of irony, and the fact that Montresor told Fortunado that Fortunado would be missed foreshadows the fate of Fortunado, he was unfortunate that his life ended the way it did.
That's what I was thinking too. He was basically implying that Fortunado would die.
Yeap.
@SharpEdge what do you think about the other 2 questions?
Thank you two for all of your help. The first one was actually selfish and unreliable, but thanks anyways.
... since rose is actually participating in the solution process, im fine with the way this played out.
