@effydale what you're trying to do is what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@andriod09 solve the equation & identify any extraneous solutions.

OpenStudy (andriod09):

So then first thing is first: What do you need to do to solve the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@andriod09 wait, i actually think its B.

OpenStudy (andriod09):

Still, answer my question, it will help you out in the long run.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@andriod09 (was it right though lol curious) & i dont understand what exactly youre asking

OpenStudy (andriod09):

You said that you had to solve the problem, and then find any extra solutions, correct? If so, how would you solve the problem? Once you solve the problem, you find that the answer is b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@andriod09 thank you & can you walk me through it? this ones been confusing me.

OpenStudy (andriod09):

first thing is first, the problem already says: \[\sqrt{a}=-2\] right? If so, then you know that if you so then, you would know that if you multiply by -2 on both sides, i believe.
