Find the slope of the line passing through (-6, 5) and (-7, -2).

OpenStudy (amistre64):

they make a nifty little formula for this, or you can simply move it to the origin

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[slope=\frac{change~in~y}{change~in~x}\] \[slope=\frac{y_1-y_o}{x_1-x_o}\]

so what could the answer be

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it will be whatever you get when you plug in the values into the formula ....

idk how to do all that can u help??

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you dont know how to subtract? or divide? im not too sure where the confusion is. one trick would be to take the points: (x,y) and rewrite them as: y x that way you just have to subtract across

ok thx

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you want, you can give it a try, and ill see if i can correct any mistakes you make
