From a few sources, it seems that that scientist will be able to understand ideas that are hard to understand. Very complex, very large, or very small. Making them more "tangible." Maybe get a better picture of something easier. the model will help the scientist to understand things in a better perspective, and if he finds loopholes in the model, he will probably be able to make new models to better explain the phenomenons. this helps in the progress of science in general.
