Which statement about stem-and-leaf plots is not true? Stem and leaf plots show all of the data values in the set. The stem is the digit on the far right. The information in a stem-and-leaf plot can be used to create a histogram. Stem values are listed from least to greatest on the left side of the vertical line.
i think The stem is the digit on the far right.
The figures to the left of the line are called the stem, those to the right are leaves.
At a quick glance the first, third, and fourth items are all true. The second is obviously false; in one-population/sample stem-leaf plots it's furthest left and when comparing two different populations or samples it's actually in the center.
In a 'Back-to-back stem-and-leaf' plot, two sets of data share the same stem. the leaves of one appear to the left and the leaves of the other appear to the right. The question does not relate to a back-to-back stem-and-leaf plot.
