Tell whether each polynomial is completely factored. If not, factor it. 6(t^2+12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ITs 6(\[6(t ^{2}+12)\]

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

It is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[t^2+12\] is completely factored in R

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im totally lost on this :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im flunking algebra

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

First, there is no common factor that can be factored out. A two term polynomial can be factored if it is a difference of squares or a sum or difference of cubes. t^2 + 12 is none of those three, so it's factored.
