If the slope of line a is -4, then the slope of a line parallel to it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it has to -4 because lines with same slope are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yupp.. just remember these rules.. parallel lines have the same slope. and perpendicular lines have slopes that are opposite reciprocals of each other :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the lines are parallel their graph should look like this|dw:1371580337685:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so their slope are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so line 1 and line 2 have the same slope 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry -4
