The answer for #3. Brutus makes an effective speech that appeal to reason. But he is far surpassed by the brilliant cunning of Antony, who plays directly on the emotions of the crowd. Through the use of irony, he not only manages to suggest that Brutus and his fellow conspirators are not honorable men, he does so without violating the conditions imposed on him: that he not speak ill of the assassins. Antony begins with "friends," which reflects the more emotional tact he will take throughout the rest of his speech. Remember also that Antony has entered the Forum with Caesar's body in tow and will use the corpse as a prop throughout his oration. Now to answer " Who handled the appeal to reason better? " read both reasons and choose the one you thnik is better.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

the answer #4 Brutus's appeals to ethics was definitely win the crowd and try to be loyal but lie about him being the killer of Caesar and he was trying to get the crowd to be impressed and see that he is loyal even before his closest friend. Antony's appeals wasn't really ethics, but persuading the crowd of not trying to really give out the killers, but also keeping the promise he made to Brutus about not making him look bad. Therefore, in the end Antony did change the crowds mind and realize Brutus had lied to them the whole time before. Antony begins with "friends," which reflects the more emotional tact he will take throughout the rest of his speech. Remember also that Antony has entered the Forum with Caesar's body in tow and will use the corpse as a prop throughout his oration. Now again read both ethics and answer "Who handled the appeal to ethics better?"

OpenStudy (tanya123):

Answer for #5 Antony won over the crowd by telling them about him and Caesar and how they were "good of friends",and telling them how he offered Caesar to be king and handing Caesar the crown, but Caesar denied. The crowd remembered how Brutus told them how ambitious Caesar was,and so therefore, they believed in what Antony was telling them and did not believe in what Brutus had told them. Therefore,he lied!

OpenStudy (tanya123):

Answer for #6 Brutus could have told them all about Caesar denying a crown,or telling them about how good of friends him and Caesar was,and how he supported Caesar every step of the way. But then he turned his back on Caesar and went against him and killed him.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

I hope that's all what u needed :)
