A certain kind of soda comes in five flavors, each of which has a different share of the overall sales: mango — 32% of the sales piña colada — 27% of the sales tamarindo — 22% of the sales watermelon — 13% of the sales guava — 6% of the sales What is the probability that the next soda sold will be one of the top three sellers? Type your answer as a fraction reduced to the simplest form, like this: 3/4

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well the top 3 sellers would be the top 3 percents....so we want the sum of those top 3... Mango + pina colada + tamarindo 32 + 27 + 22 = 81 So since this is all out of 100% we have \[\frac{ 81 }{ 100 }\] And this would be the simplest form since 81/100 doesn't have any common divisors...

Okay makes sense. Some of this stuff is just like common sense. I over think them too much! lol thank you. :)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Haha yeah don't over think them, terrible thing to do in math haha :P and anytime! :)
