Please help me to solve the compound inequality. Both signs are less than or equal to, it sometimes does not show up when I copy and paste. 4y- 2 ≤ 22 or 3y-5 ≤ 1 The answer has to be in interval notation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4y <= 24 y <=6 3y <= 6 y<=2 interval would be (-infinity, 2] make sure there is a closing bracket and not a parenthesis since 2 is included

Thank you Rob, just gave you a medal! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P.S. the answer should look like (-00, 2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, it SHOULD be \[(-\infty, 2]\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the bracket shows that 2 is included in the interval

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it is "less than or EQUAL to"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi that is what I was trying to relay. Thank you so very much!

you're welcome!
