Can anyone help me with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is C the correct answer? Can anyone explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since A = K + J, you can substitute (or replace) K + J with A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since F = P + I, you can substitute P + I with F

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute just means replace. for example if a + b = c +d, and a + b = e, and c + d = f, then you can substitute twice in the first equation to get e = f

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's confusing is that they are using statement #4 and statement #5 to modify statement #3 to get statement #6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask me a question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aaah thank you!!! So substitution is the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rite
