solve

hartnn (hartnn):

let the number be 'n' can you make an expression for, "increased by 5 and 1/5 of result " first ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n+5 = 1/5

hartnn (hartnn):

1/5 of (n+5) or \(\dfrac{1}{5}(n+5)\) thats would be left side of = right side will be 2/5th of 'n' reduced from 85

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/5(n-85)

hartnn (hartnn):

that i think, will be 85-2n/5 so, just solve \(\large \dfrac{1}{5}(n+5)=85-\dfrac{2}{5}n\)

hartnn (hartnn):

becuase 2/5th of n is reduced from 85...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

n=140

hartnn (hartnn):

i got 140 too.

@hartnn thanks bro
