Choose the correct x-intercept and y-intercept of the equation 3x + 2y = 6. x-intercept: (0, 2), y-intercept: (0, 3) x-intercept: (2, 0), y-intercept: (0, 3) x-intercept: (3, 0), y-intercept: (2, 0) x-intercept: (0, 3), y-intercept: (0, 2)

Try rearranging the equation to have y as the subject for your first step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we are given the equation 3x-2y=6 now divide this by 6 x2+−y3=6 now let's take the minus sign to the denominator x2+y−3=6 so the x intercept is (2, 0) and y intercept is (0, -3) option D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you said the x intercept is (2,0) then how is the answer D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, the easiest way to solve this is substituting x = 0 to find the y intercept, and subbing in y = 0 to find the x intercept. So, if you sub in x=0, you have 2y = 6 y = 3 So your y intercept would be (0,3). Can you see how to then work out the x intercept?

So the answer is B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe so, yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh sorry i meant it was B lol xD
