Math Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. What is the new volume of a rectangular prism that is originally 192 cubic meters and is then resized using a scale factor of one-quarter on each side length? 3 cubic meters 8 cubic meters 12 cubic meters 48 cubic meters
When you re-scale a volume... the scale factor becomes cubed.
ok so then how would you find the new volume?

192/ 1/4 = 48
to be a little more precise, if you scale ALL of the dimensions of a volume, the scale factor is cubed.
@Martinmelissa no, you need to multiply by (1/4)^3 because 1/4 is applied to each dimension. What you did was the same as if we kept the length and width the same, and scaled the height only by 1/4...
^ true, it applies if all dimensions are scaled.
what does ^ mean?
oh just a way to refer to the previous post (like an "up" arrow)
ok
