arent you supposed to work out a shorter form to write it, in examle the 2nd one.
(4x^3y)^2 you can do 4x^3*4x^2 = 4x^5
then do 3y^2 which is 3y^2
and you end up with 4x^5*y^2
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
which answer number is that

i cant join, my internet here on the university is too slow
OpenStudy (joppei):
but i know my answer was wrong and i know why
OpenStudy (joppei):
if you look at the second problem: you sqrt a sqrt you multiply so (x²)² = x^4
OpenStudy (joppei):
so (4x^3*y)² = 16x^6*y^2
because you just sqrt 4x^3 which is 16x^6 (4² * (4^3)²
and the y is just sqrt so you end up with 16x^6*y^2
OpenStudy (jazzyfa30):
ok
