I am kind of confused with this. The graph below is represented by which system of inequalities? x + y > 1 and 2x + y > 4 x + y < 1 and 2x + y > 4 x + y < 1 and 2x + y < 4 x + y > 1 and 2x + y < 4

the answer is x+y=1 and 2x+y>4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x+y=1 is not an option , that is why i am confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can easily figure this out just by getting the slope from the chart. But here is the answer x+y>1 and 2x+y>4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how is it that though? i thought they were just equal to each other not greater than or less than

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are inequalities. > < >= <= inequalities are never =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i understand that. i just dont see how x+y is greater than 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i submitted my work and this answer came up wrong. anyway thanks for the help:) but i no longer need the answer to this.

To me it looked like the fill area they were looking for was the yellow section.

If it was the green section they wanted it would of been. x+y>1 and 2x+y<4
