(2a^2 + 6a + 14) + ( -4a^2 + 3a - 9) simplify

mathslover (mathslover):

I can write that as : \(2a^2 + 6a + 14 - 4a^2 + 3a -9 \) Combining like terms : \(2a^2 - 4a^2 + 6a + 3a - 9\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

open the brackets ... add the like terms ....as u r last sum ....

mathslover (mathslover):

@PASOPHMORE , can you now tell me , what is : \(2a^2 - 4a^2 \) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u get whole ans...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think maybe -2a^2 - 5 ?

mathslover (mathslover):

its write that : \(2a^2 - 4a^2 = -2a^2\) . Now you have : \(-2a^2 + 6a + 3a + 14 - 9 \)

mathslover (mathslover):

What is \(6a+3a\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no u missed ur a variable ...??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2a^ + 9a - 5 ?

mathslover (mathslover):

Yeah. Right

mathslover (mathslover):

Good work @PASOPHMORE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it ....nic ^_^ ... hope u can do all similar sums ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thansks
