Which of the following is not a way to represent the solution of the inequality 5(x + 2) greater than or equal to 7x + 2(x − 1)? A number line with a closed circle on 3 and shading to the right. A number line with a closed circle on 3 and shading to the left. 3 greater than or equal to x x less than or greater to 3

First you would solve the inequalities.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what im having trouble with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5(x + 2) is greater than or equal to 7x + 2(x-1) first distribute 5 and 2 into the parenthesis so you would get: 5x + 10 is greater than or equal to 7x + 2x - 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait I made an error.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Forgot to distribute 2 with 1 in the original equation. So it'd actually be : 5x + 10 is greater than or equal to 7x + 2x - 2
