find the square-root of 60 times the square-root of 105. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply whatever is inside of the square root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be .... √6300

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? BUT YOU CAN'T FIND THE SQUARE ROOT OF 105 OR 60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mulitply what ever is inside first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you multiply it would √6300

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the square root of 60 is a decimal: 7.7 the square root of 105 is also a decimal: 10.2 7.7 * 10.2= 78.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or never mind you cant simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nooo you would first multiply 60 and 105

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then i would have to find the square root of 6300. So... a decimal? (79.4) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be √6300

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 30√7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do that? could you explain how you simplified that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just typed the problem in wolfram alpha but the way you would do it would be to use a factor tre and take out whatever is in common so....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, i get it. thank you so much!

youre welcome!
