Find the point on the terminal side of θ=-3pi/4 that has an x coordinate of -1.
it would be \[\pi, 0\]
how did you find that?
http://prec.alcul.us/wp-content/uploads/alg2_radians.gif you might want to print this off for future reference I have like 10 of the same one haha
I still don't get what you did. can you please explain?
well when you look at this particular circle, you see how everything is in an ordered pair?
yeah
look for 180 degrees on the circle and tell me which ordered pair it gives you
(-1,0)
and do you see what 180 degrees is equal to? (look between the ordered pair and 180 degrees)
pi
yep :)
ok i see what u did there. :) but how did you know that it'd be 180 degrees?
nevermind i see because there's an x coordinate of -1 right?
because on the radian circle, 90 degrees is pi/2 180 degrees is pi, 270 degrees is 3pi/2, and 360 degrees is 2pi
and yes that is correct :)
wait for the first problem what is the final answer?
it should just be pi
i still just don't get how you found that point :/
can you explain it step by step please?
sure :)
thanks
