To graph the equation y=1/2x-3 using the slope and y-intercept, you would have to do which of the following?

OpenStudy (mikezack123):

A. Graph the y-intercept, 3. From that point, move down 1 and to the right 2 to plot another point. Then draw a line that passes through both points. B. Graph the y-intercept, -3. From that point, move up 1 and to the right 2 to plot another point. Then draw a line that passes through both points. C. Graph the y-intercept, -3. From that point, move down 1 and to the right 2 to plot another point. Then draw a line that passes through both points. D. Graph the y-intercept, 3. From that point, move up 1 and to the right 2 to plot another point. Then draw a line that passes through both points.

It would be B.

OpenStudy (mikezack123):

Thanks, are you sure?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

AlwaystheBookworm is correct you basically start at one point, then use the slope to find another then you connect the two points with a straight line

OpenStudy (mikezack123):

alright, thanks to the both of you! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)
