How do you tell when a curve is sine or cosine, when it has been reflected about the x axis. What if it's reflected and shifted vertically or horizontally? Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't worry about it. they are both "sinusoidal curves". Cosine is just Sine shifted horizontally by pi/2 radians; sin(x + pi/2) = cos(x). you can always represent it as either one. representing a straight up no doubt cos(x) as what's written is never wrong.

Ah ok! Thanks.
