Congruent Help !!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Number 7 should be A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you help me figure out how to get A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I did it the really easy way. I simply took 3 and plugged it into each equation and then added them up. Because you only need to find the perimeter, you don't need to do anything complicated.

OpenStudy (magbak):

The answer to number 8 is 10 but I do not see that as a option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i could to 5(3)+2 @AlwaystheBookworm

OpenStudy (magbak):

The way I did it is I added all sides and it gave me 10x + 10= 60 Then subtract 10 from both sides and that gives you 10x=50. Then divide by 10 on both sides and it gives you x=5 So you input the value of x into each side and when I did that it gave me that the shortest side is 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but you need to plug in 3 wherever you see an x. Once you do that, solve each equation to get the lengths of the sides and then add them up.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got the numbers 17 , 15, 9 @AlwaystheBookworm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's correct! Now just add them all together to get the perimeter of 41.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i got 41 now how does thar equal to 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

41 does not equal 3. What the question asked is what is the value of x. x=3 because 5(3)+2+3(3)+6(x)-3=41

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the help

Happy to help
