What molecules can be used for long-term energy storage?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sounds like lipids.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ATP is currency so short term , starch is long term storage

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about long term energy storage in humans?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is for humans

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lipids for long term..ATP for short term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just looked into my lesson and it says "Starch, glucose, and fat molecules provide long-term energy storage that can be released by chemical reactions in the cell. " So i guess we were all right. becuase lipids are fats

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly ..:) and as far I know for long term energy storage molecules, lipids are superior to carbohydrates..starch and glucose are carbohydrates and Lipids include fats right :)
