Triangle PQR is a right triangle. If PQ=8, what is RQ?

A. 4 B. 8 radical 3 C. 4 radical 3 D. 16
PQ is the hypotenuse so you can use trigometry to find the other sides by using sine, cosine, cosecant and secant to find the missing lenfths if that helps
Do you know how to do that?
okay one sec I just explained some thing wrong I know A simpler way
ok
there are two special right triangles this is one called a 30-60-90 because of its angle measures
and finding lengths are really easy
so the side opposite of the 60 angle which is PR is going to be half the size of the hypotenuse so PR is 4.
then the side opposite the 30 degree angle is RQ so to find this side you will always find it by multipling the side Opposite The 60 DEGREE angle by the Square root of three.
so 4 x square root of 3 = 6.93 so you couldround if they ask you but RQ is 6.93
So the answer is C?
Yes soory it took me so long
That's fine, thank you so much. :)
Forget sine cosine and all that, thats trigometry
of course I learned this A few weeks ago glad to help! PS radical is the symbol for square roots just so you understand! :)
