Multiple choice word problem.
I don't mean to sound rude but all I want is the answer, not how to solve it. If you wanted to eliminate the y variable by adding the two equations in the following system, what could be your first step? 5x − 6y = 6 x − y = 12 A. Add the two equations together B. Multiply the second equation by −6 C. Multiply the first equation by −6 D. Multiply the second equation by 6
We sort of can't just give answers, http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct Trying to eliminate the y by adding the equations together? Then make sure that the second equation's \(y\) term is opposite from the first's. Because when you add opposite values, they disappear. :)
What are they going to do, ban you or some pellet?
It censors words. :l
Yeah, if they care to, but I don't just give answers ever.
For my own reasons. Any progress on the answer, there?
Indeed. It happens to be B.
Final answer?
Final answer is B.
