OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

I'm guessing it's B.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

I was doing it this way. let's say she was spending 100 before. Then 20% increased. So price becomes 120. But she intends to pay 5% more. Meaning 105. now what to do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea B is right...wait for explaination

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Like this? :D\[\frac{120-105}{120} \times 100\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

continued from what you did earlier let's say she was spending 100 before. Then 20% increased. So price becomes 120. But she intends to pay 5% more. Meaning 105. if she has to pay 120 for 1 unit cng then she'll pay 1 for 1/120 unit and she'll pay 105 for (1/120)*105 unit cng or 0.875 unit cng so she'll not get 1-.875=.125 units of cng...or in % (1-.875)*100=12.5%

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Wow! This working/explaination was just GREAT!
