it is the sum from k = 1 to k = 5 [from the bottom and top of sigma respectively] which is: \[1^3 + 2^3 + 3^3 + 4^3 + 5^3\]
oh i see! so you add all of them up till 5 and that whole equation is the answer?
yes :)
the exmaple in the question that added to 15 is just \[\sum_{1}^{5} k\]
