C = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12} and D = {numbers divisible by 4 from 1 to 12}, what is C ∩ D?

C intercept D is saying pick out all the numbers that are not the same. the there's D which as we knew equals numbers divisible by 4 that is from 1 to 12. That's the first thing you need to figure out. what is divisible by four? All this is saying is what can 4 go into, like 4 can go into 8 two times or an easier way of acknowledging this is 2x4. So now knowing that you should know that 4 can go into 4, 8, and 12. Now that you know what D is equal to look back at C and see if you can see any matching numbers between C and D. Well you can find 4,8, and 12 in C, so now remove the three numbers from C. All the remaining numbers would be your answer, so the answer is 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. 9, 10, and 11.
