Solve 2x - 1 < 7 and 5x + 3 < 3. {x | x < 0} {x | x < 4} {x | 0 < x < 4}
solve for x in each equation. Can you do that for me?
i think i can hold on let me try
inequality, excuse me.
omg i just forgot what an inequalty is
Those things up above lol. 2x - 1 < 7 and 5x + 3 < 3
oh my bad
ill give medal for best answer
I kinda broke the rules before. You need to put in some effort. Do you know where to begin with the first inequality? 2x - 1 < 7
yes add 1 to both sides and it leaves me with 2x<8
then divide by 2 on both sides and i get x<4
right?
Correct. Now can you do it for the other inequality. 5x + 3 < 3
divide by 5 on both sides and i get x + 3 < 1\[\frac{ 2 }{ 5}\]
-3 on both sides and i get x< -2 \[\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }\]
Not what I would do... I would subtract the three over to get 5x<0... x<0
ohhh ok thanks so it would be {x | 0 < x < 4}
I believe so, but I have been wrong before. I am only human.
