HELP!!!! Given the function g(x) = −2x + 4, find g(−5). −6 4.5 6 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

am I correct?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So you would just replace 'x' in your equation with the number now in the parenthesis...(-5) so you had \[f(x) = -2x + 4\] This will become \[f(-5) = -2(-5) + 4\] So solving that we get \[f(-5) = 14\]
