OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choose the correct x-intercept and y-intercept of the equation 2x − y = 4.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Find the x intercept by letting y= 0. Find the y intercept by letting x = 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so y=2? and x = 6?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you replace y with 0 you get x = 2 so the x intercept is (2,0) If you replace x with 0 you get y = -4 so the y intercept is (0,-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thxs! mid helping with a few more?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Maybe a couple if we hurry.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choose the correct x-intercept and y-intercept of the equation 3x + 2y = 6. x-intercept: (0, 2), y-intercept: (0, 3) x-intercept: (2, 0), y-intercept: (0, 3) x-intercept: (3, 0), y-intercept: (2, 0) x-intercept: (0, 3), y-intercept: (0, 2)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Same thing. Replace x with 0 and you get what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its C?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Replace x with 0 and you get what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I'm very sorry. I can't help you because you refuse to answer the questions I ask and I am not going to have you guess answers until you stumble upon the right one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no cuz i got i got 3 and 2! but dont know how to put it!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

When you replace x with 0 you get y = 3. If x=0 and y = 3, what ordered pair is that? Remember: x is the first number in the ordered pair and y is the second number so that would be (0,3)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you replace y with 0 you get x = 2 so if you remember that x is the first number in the ordered pair and y is the second number in the ordered pair you write (2,0)

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Then you select the answer that says the y intercept is (0,3) and the x intercept is (2,0)
