I was part of a group of 3 who wrote an integrated research review as a class assignment. I have since revised the information into an article to be printed in a non-referred, non-research professional journal. As long as I give the other two researchers credit for the original research, do I have to list them as authors since they did not have any part in writing this current article outside of class?
As far as I know, it is okay to not list them as authors if the final product does not include any writings that are distinctly original to them. Personally, I would not list them as authors and instead just note that earlier versions of this text included their writings and input.
Thanks so much for your response. I think we are both correct! :)
