OpenStudy (science0229):

First, you have to find set D. All of the numbers that are divisible by 3 from 1 to 12 are 3,6,9,12. So, D={3,6,9,12}.

OpenStudy (science0229):

Now, for the first problem, we can notice that 6 and 12 are 2 common elements for C and D. So the correct set operation to get {6,12} would be intersection, or ∩. If we write that in an equation, C∩D={6,12}

OpenStudy (science0229):

For the second problem, we can see that all of the elements from C and D are mashed up in one set. We use union, denoted as U. If we write that in an equation, \[C \cup D= {2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12}\]

(I forgot the curly brakets for C∪D.)

You can try the rest.
