3. One jar holds 16 red marbles and 4 blue marbles. A second jar holds 75 white marbles and 25 blue marbles. What is the probability that a blue marble will be drawn from both jars?

Can anyone help?? @bahrom7893 @Krishnadas

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

The probability of the simultaneous occurrences of two independent events is the product of the probabilities of each event. So for the first jar the probability of drawing a blue marble is 4/20 or 1/5. For the second it is 25/100 or 1/4. Multiplied together, it equals 1/20.

Oh ok so the answer is 1/20? Thank you @incognito :)

OpenStudy (lncognlto):

Yep. You're welcome :)
